October
The weekend of Halloween our club had the opportunity of a very spooky volunteering event at the Haute Dog Howl’oween Parade! In this event dogs from all over came dressed up in costume and paraded through a small section near the seaside of Long Beach! In the event, volunteers helped spread water stations for the dogs, sell seats to the spectators, and control the traffic of the parade! It was amazing seeing all the different costumes and hundreds of dogs!

FALL RALLY SOUTH
This was my favorite FRS, even though it’s my last. From trying out the most exhilarating Six Flags rides with my friends to cheering my heart out at our last rally, I couldn’t have asked for a better way to end it. Serving as president this year, I couldn’t have asked for a better group of Key Clubbers to attend FRS with – everyone was on time, responsible, and communicated effectively. Although D04N didn’t win the spirit stick, we still SUPER SERVED and won in our hearts!

CHRISTMAS CARDS FOR SENIORS
To spread joy and holiday spirit during the holidays, I, along with my fellow Key Club members decorated Christmas cards to give to the Mission Palms nursing home! When I got there, the atmosphere was really light and fun and everyone was having a great time discussing their holiday plans while drawing amazing pictures of otters, trees, presents, snowmen, and other things. I made a total of 5 Christmas cards with cute drawings of otters with Santa hats and notes wishing them good health and a Merry Christmas. In addition to decorating cards, we were able to indulge in some hot chocolate and sing along to Christmas music. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience as I was able to get some hours of service in as well as bond with my fellow club members just before break!
